We stayed at the Toll House Inn a few years ago. Although we ate our lunch at The Quarterhouse, we opted to dine at the inn for our evening meal and also enjoyed a fantastic breakfast there in the morning. For dinner, we both chose the steak with peppercorn sauce, and the steak was cooked to perfection. However, it was the lemon posset with damsons that we ate for dessert that stands out in my memory. Toll House Inn is consistently rated as one of the best gastropubs in Lancaster.
